In this project I have been working with video and movement, sometimes conjoined sometimes not, but always both.

I've been interested in how to track movement and if tracking the movements does something more to the perception of movement than it already is.

I have also been working with my center of mass, gravity and momentum. Mainly to start somewhere more clear for me.

I did not figure out how to enhance gravity or momentum visibly through video. Unlike the center of mass which is a specific point in the body and thus easier to track (more or less accurately) through video, momentum and gravity is forces that are not visible and thus not available for tracking in video. One can assume and guess.

Center of Mass

a point representing the mean position of the matter in a body or system.

Center of Gravity

a point from which the weight of a body or system may be considered to act. In uniform gravity it is the same as the centre of mass

Momentum

the quantity of motion of a moving body, measured as a product of its mass and velocity

Its not about searching for the momentum.

Momentum is building up as you move and you only keep it as you continuing the movement.

You can redirect it but that will take some energy from you and in order to redirect the momentum, force, you need integrity.

The tennis-ball bounce back up because it has integrity, resilience.

Just like the ball the body does not bounce if you don't have this certain amount of tension and integrity.

By having right amount of tension you use the gravitational pull and the momentum you've built up to redirect the force and use the momentum to bounce up

Building momentum and crashing...

By sustaining movement and by not collapsing and keeping the integrity of the body, you will not crash hard but instead disperse or redirect the momentum force built up.
